About 10th Mountain Films:

10th Mountain Films is named after Joe Looby’s father who served in the 10th Mountain Division, a U.S. Army ski patrol that fought in the Italian Alps during World War II.

Joe's first film - The Decade of Discovery - was released in 2014. His second film - The Year of the Tiger - was released in 2016.

Here are some things Joe did before filmmaking:

He was an Eagle Scout. In college, Joe studied theater and economics at Fordham University. After law school, he served 4 years as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG). He then practiced as an Environmental Enforcement attorney for New York State. A founder of the forensic technology practices at Deloitte and FTI, he co-invented a patented system for detecting fraud and he led the Trustee’s investigation of Bernie Madoff's "black box" trading systems. Joe has provided expert testimony and has presented findings before the SEC, DOJ, and the FBI.
